The Minister of Communications and Information Technologies Ali Abbasov held a meeting with the head of Microsoft Corporation within his meeting to the USA, Trend reports with reference to the statement of Microsoft.
During the meeting held in headquarter of Microsoft in Redmond (state of Washington), the corporation was presented by the strategy and investigations director Kreyk Mandi, cise president for security of Microsoft products Schott Charn, the director-general of the corporation on CIS countries Sergiush Viza and director general of Microsoft Azerbaijan Vladimir Chaykovski.
The sides discussed global tendency of the development of information-communication technologies, the strategy of government for accelerating the development of information technologies, protection of the products of the corporation and ensuring the security of their use at a state level, as well as the possibilities of realizing joint projects of Microsoft and Azerbaijan.
The participant of the meeting reached a mutual understanding for continuing consultations and joint measures, especially the opportunities of using the platform of Microsoft for creating the system of electronic government, as well as global computational centers. Besides, the sides defined the prospects of the cooperation between Microsoft and Azerbaijan in legalization of computer park of the state bodies of Azerbaijan and realization of program National computer.
During the visit, Abbasov visited laboratory and got familiar with new technologies of Microsoft.
