Activities in Iran’s Noshahr port intensify

The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded in the Noshahr port of the Mazandaran Province (northern Iran) increased by 19 percent in the first month of the current Iranian year (March 21 through April 20, 2021), compared to the same month last Iranian year, Trend reports citing the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).

According to the statistics, a total of 122,000 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in the Noshahr port within the first month. Of this, 3,800 tons of were loaded and 118,000 tons were unloaded. While in the same month last Iranian year, 102,000 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in this port.

During the 1st month, 3,800 tons of cargo were exported and 118,000 tons were imported through the Noshahr port, the statistics said.

“So, about 116,000 tons of essential products, 553 tons of chemicals, 5,370 tons of leather goods, clothing, fiber, paper and wood materials, and 88 tons of container products were loaded and unloaded in the Noshahr port over the reporting month,” the statistics said.

As reported, more than 11 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the first month of the current Iranian year. This is an increase of 14.4 percent compared to the same month last Iranian year.
