Iran’s PMO sees increase in port operations at Noshahr Port

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Feb. 14

The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded in the Noshahr port of the Mazandaran Province (northern Iran) increased by 143 percent in the 10th month of the current Iranian year (December 22, 2021, through January 20, 2022), compared to the 9th month (November 22 through December 21, 2021), Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).

According to the statistics, a total of 69,700 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in this port over the reporting month. Of this, 2,400 tons were loaded and 67,300 were unloaded.

About 2,400 tons of cargo were exported and 67,300 tons were imported through the Noshahr port in the 10th month.

“So, 65,800 tons of essential products, 248 tons of construction and mining materials, 3,660 tons of leather goods, clothing, fibers, paper, and wood materials were loaded and unloaded in the Noshahr port in the 10th month of the current Iranian year.

About 17.9 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the 10th month of the current Iranian year. Of this, 11.9 million tons were loaded and 6.03 million tons were unloaded. This is an increase of 42 percent, compared to the same month last Iranian year.
