BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 19. The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded in the Noshahr port of the Mazandaran Province (northern Iran) decreased by 70.9 percent in the 1st month of the current Iranian year (March 21 through April 20, 2022), compared to the same month last Iranian year, Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).

According to the statistics, about 35,500 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in this port over the reporting month. Of this, 1,200 tons were loaded and 34,300 tons were unloaded.

About 1,200 tons of cargo were exported and 34,000 tons were imported through the Noshahr port in the 1st month.

In addition, 6 tons of cargo were loaded and 245 tons were unloaded in the port for transit.

So, 30,000 tons of essential products, 241 tons of metal products, 12 tons of equipment, vehicles and spare parts, and about 5,370 tons of leather goods, clothing, fibers, paper, and wood materials were loaded and unloaded in the Noshahr port in the 1st month of the current Iranian year.

In general, more than 12.8 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the 1st month of the current Iranian year. Of this, 6.49 million tons were loaded and 6.26 million tons were unloaded. This is an increase of 10.9 percent, compared to the same month last Iranian year.
