BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 19. The volume of cargo unloaded in the Noshahr port of the Mazandaran Province (northern Iran) decreased by 50.9 percent in the 5th month of the current Iranian year (July 23 through August 22, 2022), compared to the same month last Iranian year, Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).

According to the statistics, a total of 33,500 tons of cargo were unloaded in this port over the reporting month.

Some 33,100 tons of cargo were imported through the Noshahr port in the 5th month.

In addition, 396 tons of cargo were unloaded in the port for transit, as well as 9 tons were unloaded for other purposes.

So, 25,700 tons of essential products, 296 tons of metal products, 298 tons of equipment, vehicles and spare parts, 6,960 tons of leather goods, clothing, fibers, paper, and wood materials and 9 tons of container products were loaded and unloaded in the Noshahr port in the 5th month of the current Iranian year.

In general, about 12.5 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the 5th month of the current Iranian year. Of this, about 6.4 million tons were loaded and about 6.1 million tons were unloaded. This is an increase of 6 percent compared to the same month last Iranian year.
