BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 2. The volume of transportation through Azerbaijan can be raised to $45 million, Minister of Digital Development and Transportation Rashad Nabiyev said at an international conference titled "Shaping geopolitics of Greater Eurasia: from past to present and future" conference, hosted at ADA University, Trend reports.
"The demand for transportation through our country in the short term will amount to $23 million over the next 5 years, but this is not the limit. If we continue investing in infrastructure, we will be able to increase the volume of transportation through our country to $45 million," Nabiyev said.
According to him, the value of the Middle Corridor is currently increasing even more.
"The Zangazur corridor is another important project. We built 70 percent of the corridor after the liberation of Azerbaijani territories from occupation. But a number of other partners do not fully understand the importance of this corridor and that it is an integral part of the Middle Corridor, which slows down the completion of the project and creates obstacles. We hope that we will be able to convince all parties of the importance of this corridor, and this corridor will be built as soon as possible," Nabiyev added.
