Aircraft An-24 of Scat airline has run off the runway in Kazakh city of Almaty today, Novosti- Kazakhstan reported with the reference to Almaty emergency situations department.
The incident occurred on at 00.25. The aircraft operating Taraz - Almaty flight ran off the runway while landing. Some 24 people were on the board including 20 passengers and 4 crew members. No one was injured. The aircraft was not damaged.
After stopping the plane was towed to a parking lot.
On January 29, 2013, another aircraft belonging to SCAT Airline, flight No.760 on route from Kokshetau to Almaty crashed five kilometres short of the runway at Almaty. Some 21 people were killed. A criminal case has been initiated surrounding the crash.
