Trend:

The level of oil production at Kashagan will increase, the Managing Director of the North Caspian Operating Company N.V. (NCOC N.V.) consortium Bruno Jardin said.

"Currently, in Kashagan, within the first stage of field operation, the level of production has reached 325,000 barrels of oil per day," Jardin said during celebration of the 25th anniversary of the project.

"The production capacity is increased gradually so that to reach the daily production level of 370,000 barrels per day in the near future. For this purpose, it is planned to upgrade the compressors which inject raw gas back into reservoir and which are located at the facilities of the offshore platform and to install an additional raw gas injection compressor on the existing drilling island", the managing director added.

Additional work has also been planned in the area of drilling of wells and construction of pipelines between offshore facilities.

With the support of the government and investors, such improvements will bring production to a higher level that will exceed the estimated level of 450,000 barrels per day defined for the first stage of development of the Kashagan field.
