Kazakhstan records decline in volume of overdue loans for September 2021

The share of loans overdue for more than 90 days in the total loan portfolio as of October 1, 2021 decreased, Trend reports via the Agency for the Regulation and Development of the Financial Market of Kazakhstan.

According to the agency, this figure amounted to 4.3 percent (compared to 6.9 percent as of early 2021), down by 30.3 billion tenge or $71 million (3.8 percent) in September this year.

In the portfolio of individuals, the level of loans overdue for more than 90 days amounted to 4.1 percent (as of 01.01.2021 - 5.4 percent), while in the portfolio of legal entities, including small and medium businesses - 4.7 percent (as of 01.01.2021 - 8.6 percent)

As of October 1, 2021, the share of overdue loans in the total volume of banks' loan portfolio was 6.8 percent (at the beginning of the year - 9.7 percent). The provision coverage rate for loans overdue for more than 90 days was 75.2 percent.
