BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 1. Kazakhstan’s ‘Rebar Taraz plant’ has launched the manufacturing of European quality rebars in the country’s Zhambyl region, Trend reports via Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Industry and Infrastructural Development.
The ministry says that the plant has launched a modern high-tech automated rolling line, which will allow producing of high-quality class A-500 rebars with the possibility of import substitution and export to partner countries.
According to the ministry, it is expected that the plant will produce about 350,000 tons of rebars annually. As a result, the country's rebar imports will decrease by 47 percent.
It should be noted that over the past three years, Kazakhstan notes positive dynamics in the output of rebars. In 2022, Kazakhstan manufactured more than 900,000 tons of rebars, of which about 220,000 tons were exported.
Despite the fact that Kazakhstan itself manufactures rebars, in 2022 the country exported some 700,000 tons of this product.
