BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 27. Kazakhstan may see an increase in RON-95 gasoline prices during the summer season, Almassadam Satkaliyev, Minister of Energy of Kazakhstan, told journalists, Trend reports.

At the same time, as the minister noted, the necessary volume of RON-92 fuel for the country has been reserved already.

"We have a 23-day supply at oil refineries and oil depots. There are no risks for RON-92. However, we do have certain risks regarding RON-95 gasoline. There may be an increase. But this is an unregulated area due to the fact that the number of trips increases during the summer season, especially to resort areas. In this regard, we see risks specifically related to this type of gasoline," he said, following the government meeting.

According to Satkaliyev, the Ministry is trying to keep the situation under control. Relevant meetings have been held with oil-producing organizations and network companies, requesting the import of the necessary volumes of RON-95 from the Russia.

Earlier in April, Satkaliyev announced that prices for liquified petroleum gas (LPG) in Kazakhstan may also increase by 5-10 Kazakh tenge ($0.011 - 0.022) over the coming months.
