ASTANA, Kazakhstan, October 18. Kazakhstan and the UAE will cooperate on the development of Astana Airport as a multimodal hub, Trend reports.
In this regard, Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov has signed an agreement with the Terminals Holding company from the UAE as part of a visit to the Turkestan region.
The investor will conduct a comprehensive assessment of the activities of the capital’s airport and will subsequently take over operational management to improve the quality of passenger service and the efficiency of the air harbor as a whole.
The investor's primary task is to prepare the runway for reconstruction and its further modernization.
Taking into account the preparatory work and the short construction season, the reconstruction of the ground infrastructure is planned to begin next year.
Along with this, a long-term business plan for the development of the airport will be developed, taking into account the balance of interests of the state and the private company, which will serve as the basis for future investments.
Terminals Holding Group is a fast-growing aviation enterprise serving customers in the emerging markets of Asia and Africa, and is also associated with major ports and industrial company - Abu Dhabi Ports.
