(gazeta.kz) - Kazakhstan has to enter the WTO on the same terms as Russia and the CIS. This opinion has been expressed today, November 22, "Russia - Kazakhstan. Retail Trade: Strategies, Investments, Cadres" by Raimbek Batalov, Chairman of the Entrepreneurs Forum of Kazakhstan, reports Trend.

"It seems that there is not enough information about the terms of our accession to the WTO. I believe that there are a lot of unfinished items, and although the accession to the WTO is of course necessary, on the other hand we should not hurry with this," - he has said.

"It is very important to discuss this matter in the CIS and to enter on common terms. Kazakhstan should not enter on terms differing from those faced by Russia," - he has stressed.

"Our President and the heads of the neighbouring states are talking about a common market and only a common market is interesting for capital investments in general," - he has noted.

"Basically I believe that on one hand we are long time WTO members, because Chinese commodities are present here. Afraid of US or European commodities? In Kazakhstan there is a serious problem of logistics that significantly raises the price. A lot of serious, structural changes are needed to become competitive," - he has concluded.
