Kyrgyzstan represents investment interest for Russia, press-service of Kyrgyz Parliament quoted the Russian State Duma Chairman Boris Gryzlov, reporting on the meeting of Speaker Akhmatbek Keldibekov with his counterpart in Moscow, 24.kg reported.
According to them, yesterday Speaker of Kyrgyz Parliament discussed with the chairman of Russian State Duma prospects of cooperation.
Boris Gryzlov said that Kyrgyzstan was the first country in the CIS, which had chosen the parliamentary system of government. He also expressed the hope for greater stability and prosperity of country's people, as well as the interaction between the legislative branches of the two countries.
Cooperation in the spheres of education, in particular Russian educational quotas for the citizens of Kyrgyzstan, was discussed at the meeting. Speaker of the Parliament of the KR expressed a desire to increase the quota for Kyrgyz citizens.
