A day of reflection is held in Kyrgyzstan Saturday on the eve of the October 30 presidential elections, 24.kg reported. On this day, any campaigning, publication or disclosure of the results of various opinion polls, election-related media reports are prohibited in the country.
Out of 83 people, who initially nominated, only 16 have left in the presidential race. Seven officially registered candidates have recently withdrawn from the elections.
More than three million ballots have been printed for the polls. A total of 725 international observers from 47 international organizations have been accredited.
According to a CEC member Zharkyn Bapanova, the polls will begin to work on Sunday, October 30, at exactly 8:00 am throughout the country and will close at 7.00 pm.
