The Russian Emergency Situations Ministry has completed a humanitarian relief operation to assist in the reconstruction of housing infrastructure in Osh and Jalal-Abad in southern Kyrgyzstan, Russian Foreign Ministry said on Wednesday.

As part of the operation, 1,215 tons of metal, 44,386 linear meters of roof, 41 prefabricated houses and lumber in the volume of 2,380 cubic meters were supplied to the country.

Humanitarian assistance has been provided by the Russian government's order through the Russian target contribution to the Fund of the International Civil Defence Organisation for 2011 ($5 million).

"The humanitarian aid campaign has become yet more evidence of the traditionally friendly relations between Russia and its longtime partner and ally," the Foreign Ministry said.
