China interested in Kyrgyz Tegene coal deposit development

China is interested in the development of Tegene coal deposit in Kyrgyzstan, CA-News reported on Wednesday.

State Secretary of the Kyrgyz State Geology and Mineral Resources Agency Nabi Eshnazarov held a meeting with a delegation of Chinese National Corporation for Overseas Economic Cooperation.

During the meeting, the corporation president Ma Zhiwu expressed interest in exploration of coal deposit Tegene, as well as other facilities of Kyrgyzstan's coal industry.

Eshnazarov talked about possibility of cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and China, and expressed readiness to give necessary information.

According to Kyrgyzstan's mining industry development program-2030, which was developed by the Association of Miners and Geologists, coal deposits at Tegene field make 58.5 million tons.
