BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, July 10. Kyrgyzstan's tax revenues to the republican budget reached 118.3 billion soms ($1.348 billion) from January through June 2023, exceeding the planned target of 116.2 billion soms ($1.324 billion), Trend reports.
According to the Ministry of Finance of Kyrgyzstan, the figure grew 27.1 percent compared to the same period in 2022.
The State Tax Service of Kyrgyzstan collected a total of 69.5 billion soms ($792.1 million) in tax revenues, achieving 97.4 percent of the set target. These figures grew 8.1 billion soms ($92.3 million) compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.
Overall, the combined revenues to the republican budget from January through June 2023 amounted to 160.2 billion soms ($1.8 billion), surpassing the planned target of 147.8 billion soms ($1.6 billion) by 8.4 percent.
When compared to 2022, the revenues increased 31.3 percent of 38.2 billion soms ($435.3 million).
According to the Eurasian Commission, the revenue of Kyrgyzstan's republican budget for the year 2022 amounted to 270.3 billion soms or $3.2 billion (based on the average exchange rate of the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan for 2022). However, expenditures also increased, reaching 283.4 billion soms ($3.4 billion) in 2022.
