BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, April 16. A plant for the production of dry construction materials has been modernized in Kyrgyzstan's Jalal-Abad region with the support of the Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund (RKDF), Trend reports.
According to the RKDF, the fund allocated $270,000 to KG Minerals for the modernization of the plant. The company has been producing dry mixes and finishing materials since 2014. Previously, its products were sold only in the Jalal-Abad region. Now, by increasing production volumes, the company will be able to distribute its products in other regions of Kyrgyzstan and make a significant contribution to import substitution.
"The fund is keen on enabling as many domestic entrepreneurs as possible to launch new projects and improve existing ones. We are interested in industrial development and job creation in the regions," Artem Novikov, Chairman of the Board of the RKDF, said.
The Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund was established in 2014. It is a key tool in the process of Kyrgyzstan's integration into the Eurasian Economic Union. The main goals of the fund include promoting economic cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Russia, modernizing and developing the Kyrgyz economy, and effectively utilizing the opportunities arising from the participation of both countries in Eurasian economic integration.
