BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 16. The tannery, located in the Gokdepe district of the Ahal region in the south of Turkmenistan, significantly increased production figures from January through August 2022, Trend reports with reference to Jeyhun News.
During the specified period, the plant performed work in the amount of 8.2 million Turkmen manats ($2.3 million).
The growth rate of production in comparison with the first 8 months of last year amounted to 108.2 percent.
The plant is engaged in the processing of hides of large and small cattle and the production of shoes, belts, winter clothing and bags from them.
With the increasing dynamics of the construction of industrial and social facilities in Turkmenistan, the industry is becoming one of the major sectors of the economy, which is given an important role in the implementation of import substitution programs and increasing the export potential of the state.
