BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 6. The balance of credit funds issued in Turkmenistan to state institutions and enterprises as of the beginning of December 2022 increased by 7.4 percent compared to the same period in 2021 (54.02 billion Turkmen manats, or $15.44 billion) to 58.04 billion Turkmen manats ($16.59 billion), Trend reports citing Business Turkmenistan news agency.
The total amount of loan balances issued to non-state enterprises and organizations of the country in the specified period amounted to 11.83 billion Turkmen manats ($3.38 billion), which is 47 percent more than in the same period of 2021 (8.04 billion Turkmen manats, or $2.29 billion).
The country's financial sector is constantly expanding. In particular, mobile applications are being introduced to pay for various services and goods, the number of non-cash payments is increasing, and payment for goods and services is being implemented through bank terminals.
