ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, September 8. The Lebap region in the east of Turkmenistan generated over 2.42 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity from January through July this year, Trend reports.

Compared to the same period last year, the growth rate of electricity output in the region grew by 12.5%, according to government figures.

The Lebap, Watan, and Seydi Thermal Power Stations are responsible for these indicators during the reporting period.

With such impressive stats, it is conceivable to transfer some electricity abroad and reliably feed industrial facilities and populated areas.

Countries such as Uzbekistan, Afghanistan, and Kyrgyzstan are among the consumers of electricity produced in the region.
