The volume of construction work carried out in January, 2022 amounted to 6.9 trillion soums ($641.8 million), which is an increase of 18.7 percent compared to the same period of the last year (5.8 trillion soums, or $540.3 million),Trend reports citing the Uzbek State Statistics Committee.
During this period, most of construction work was carried out in the country’s Tashkent city in the amount of 2 trillion soums ($184.5 million), followed by Tashkent region with amount of construction work 651.2 billion soums ($60 million).
In 2021, construction work worth 107.4 trillion soums ($9.9 billion) was carried out in Uzbekistan. At the same time, the volume of construction work carried out in 2020 amounted to 88.1 trillion soums ($8.1 billion).
