BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 18. Uzbekistan has exported silk and silk products worth $10.5 million to 12 countries from January through February 2022, Trend reports via Uzbek State Statistics Committee.
Export of silk and silk products increased by $5 million compared to the same period last year.
The largest amount of silk products was exported from the country’s Samarkand region, which amounted to $3 million, followed by the Kashkadarya region ($1.7 million), Bukhara region ($1.5 million) is in the third place, Andijan region ($1.1 million) comes next.
During this period, most of the silk products was exported to China in the amount of $3.4 million, followed by Vietnam ($2.7 million), Tajikistan ($1.8 million), and Iran ($1 million).
