BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 9. Uzbekistan’s Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Combine (AMMC) produced commodity products worth 30.5 trillion soums ($2.7 billion) in 2022, Trend reports via AMMC’s statement.

This figure decreased by 0.66 percent, compared to the figure for 2021.

According to the statement, in 2022 combine produced copper cathode (148,510 tons), followed by gold (17,200 tons), silver (161,200 tons), zinc (91,360 tons), sulfuric acid (824,227 tons), as well as rare metals, such as molybdenum (1,177 tons), and tungsten (33,800 tons).

During the relevant period, AMMC has committed 18.6 trillion soums ($1.6 billion) to the country’s budget.

Meanwhile, during the last 11 months of 2022, AMMC exported 70,000 tons of copper products, including 61,500 tons of cathode copper, copper pipes – 4,277 tons, copper sulfate – 8,735 tons, as well as, 55,500 tons of zinc products, 50,900 tons of metal zinc, 728 tons of molybdenum products, and 24,000 tons of lead concentrate.

AMMC exports its products mainly to Türkiye, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Bulgaria, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Ukraine, Poland, Tajikistan, Indonesia, the Netherlands, China, Turkmenistan, and Afghanistan.
