BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 26. Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan concluded a package of more than 50 documents worth about $1.6 billion, Trend reports citing Uzbek media.
The relevant documents were signed during the Uzbek-Kyrgyz summit at the highest level in Kyrgyzstan's capital Bishkek, on January 26.
The signed package of documents will allow both countries to expand multifaceted cooperation in the fields such as chemical, and electrical engineering, machinery production, textile, agriculture, production of construction materials, as well as leather industry.
The package of agreements also includes investment agreements worth $300.3 million; export contracts – $1.1 million, as well as import contracts – $223 million.
Meanwhile, trade turnover between the two countries amounted to $543.2 million from January through November 2022, increasing by 21 percent, compared to the reporting period in 2021.
To date, 60 enterprises with Uzbek capital operate in Kyrgyzstan, including 22 joint ventures and 38 with the full participation of Uzbek capital.
