BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 12. Uzbekistan’s imports of goods and services from Lithuania to Uzbekistan amounted to $180.3 million from January through March 2023, increasing by 2.2 times year-on-year (1Q2022 –$80.8 million), Trend reports, citing Uzbekistan’s State Statistics Committee.

At the same time, the exports from Uzbekistan to Lithuania in the reporting period amounted to $24.9 million, which is an increase of more than 2 times, compared to the figure for 3M2022 ($10.9 million).

During the reporting period, Uzbekistan’s trade turnover with Lithuania increased almost three-fold, reaching $205.2 million over $91.7 million during the first quarter of 2022.

The Uzbek statistics say that Lithuania imported from Uzbekistan some 700,000 tons of fruits and vegetables worth $1.5 million.

In 2022, the trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Lithuania decreased by 6.01 percent, compared to 2021 ($505.4 million) - down to $475 million.

Furthermore, from January through March 2023, Uzbekistan's foreign trade turnover reached $14.7 billion, increasing by 11.9 percent, compared to the same period last year ($13.2 billion).
