BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 24. Uzbekistan produced 10,400 tons of copper wire from January through April this year, Trend reports.

The volume of copper wire production in the first 4 months of 2023 increased by 1.5 times compared to the corresponding period of 2022.

Large enterprises of Uzbekistan produced more than 3,200 tons of copper wire in April of this year alone.

Uzbekistan is one of the leading producers and exporters of copper in Central Asia. The country has significant reserves of copper ore, which are under active exploitation.

One of the largest copper deposits in Uzbekistan is the Almalyk deposit located in the Tashkent region. This deposit is considered one of the largest in the world. Rich copper ores are mined here, which also contain gold, silver and other minerals.
