Veteran Iranian writer and novelist Mohammad Ayyoubi has passed away at the age of 67 in the capital city of Tehran.
Ayyoubi, who was a retired teacher of Persian literature, died of heat problems at Tehran's Avicenna hospital on Friday night.
He had written more than 300 short stories and articles in different literary magazines and his novel Masks of Surrender was nominated for the 2009 Jalal Al-e-Ahmad literary award.
Milky Way, The Long Song of the South and Endless Heritage are among the stores written by Ayyoubi.
