Iran is to host a joint conference with Kazakhstan in a bid to study opportunities for improving cultural and economic ties with the Central Asian country, ISNA reported.

The seminar is scheduled for late October or November. "Due to the presence of Kazakh new ambassador to Tehran, the conference will be held late October or November in Tehran to examine possible opportunities for broadening cultural and economic ties between the two countries," the Head of Iran-Kazakhstan Friendship Association Ghasem Momeni told ISNA.

Momeni added, "Iran and Kazakhstan enjoy special position historically and culturally and share many commonalities."

He continued, "the conference aims to make the two nations familiar with each other's potentials and capacities."
