The administration should pay domestic industries $3.6 billion in subsidies. Otherwise, they will face serious problems, the Iranian parliamentary industries and mines committee's chairman said.
Hossein Hashemi told the IRNA news agency that the production sector will face bankruptcy if the government does not support it by paying subsidies.
Referring to a recent subsidy reform plan, he said: 典he parliament has approved $10 billion to be allocated to the industry sector and the government has announced that it has paid $1.6 billion to the industry sector, but no money has been paid in practice.
