Iran boosts oil export capacity at Mahshahr Port

Through revamping docks and building new storage facilities, Iran boosted capacity to export oil products from the southern Mahshahr Port, an official with the National Iranian Oil Production and Distribution Company stated.

Asghar Ramezani told ISNA news agency that ships with the capacity of up to 80,000 tons can currently dock at the port. He added that a bunkering service is also available there. The new storage facilities have the capacity to hold 3.5 million barrels of furnace oil, gas oil and gasoline.

Some $60 billion rials (around $45 million) plus €15 million has been invested in Mahshahr Port's development plans, he noted.
