Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani reacted on British Foreign Minister William Hague's statements about the elections in Iran, saying that Great Britain should think about its foreign minister who seems to be making "incredible statement", Mehr News Agency reported.
William Hague has condemned the way of holding the parliamentary elections in Iran on Friday, claiming that they were not "free and fair".
Larijani added that Hague's statement shows Great Britain's continuous hostile attitude against Iran.
Over 3,400 Iranian candidates competed in the latest parliamentary elections.
The names of 219 candidates who have successfully overcome the first round of voting, and won seats in parliament are already known. About 43 of them are members of the current convocation of the parliament.
Five of 30 MPs who represent Tehran province in the Parliament have already been elected. Another 25 MPs will be elected in the second round of elections from more than 50 candidates.
Iran says that 65 percent of eligible voters participated in the parliamentary elections in Iran.
The diplomatic relations between Iran and Great Britain have worsened since December 2011.
