Iran's presidential hopeful Mostafa Pour-Mohammadi hailed the current administration for attaching significance to social justice, but criticized it for failing to pay due attention to employment and production.

Pour-Mohammadi, who represents the conservative camp, said that the most important mistake committed by President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's administration has been the way it has handled the US-backed sanctions on Iran.

Pour-Mohammadi also stressed the significance of making radical administrative and economic reforms, in order to revive the national economy.

He further slammed the national budget's over-reliance on crude oil income, adding that working toward an economy that's not oil-dependent would be his top priority, should he be elected president.

In September, the Iranian Interior ministry announced that the country will hold the 11th presidential election on June 14, 2013.

The voters will select the successor of the current President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who is not able to participate in the elections for the third term according to the country's constitutional laws.

The president of Iran is elected for a four-year term in a national election and the Guardian Council vets the candidates for qualifications.
