By Umid Niayesh - Trend: Iranian deputy Foreign Minister and top nuclear negotiator Abbas Araqchi held phone talks with Helga Schmid, the deputy to European Union foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton on November 14, Fars news agency reported.
Fars reported that two officials discussed the next round of the Iran-P5+1 negotiations on Iran's nuclear program which is scheduled to held in Geneva on November 20 and 30.
No further details were available.
The U.S. and its Western allies suspect Iran of developing a nuclear weapon - something that Iran denies. The Islamic Republic has on numerous occasions stated that it does not seek to develop nuclear weapons, using nuclear energy for medical researches instead.
The last round of nuclear talks between Iran and the five United Nations veto powers plus Germany, which known as P5+1, ended on November 10 without any result.
