Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said that world powers always have some plots in store for Iran.
"They also have plots even for their allies and neighbors," he said, Iran's Tasnim news agency reported.
"We believe that the sanctions imposed against the Iranian nation are not fair," he said.
"Political problems need a solution, not just words and slogans," the president added.
Rouhani made the remarks at a meeting with the country's elite university professors.
