GEORGIA, ARMENIA WANT DEVELOP CLOSE ECONOMIC CONTACTS

(Кавказ-Пресс) вЂ" Georgia and Armenia will develop close economic contacts. The relevant agreement was achieved in a meeting of the Presidents of two countries, Mikhael Saakashvili, of Georgia, and Robert Kocharian, of Armenia during an unofficial visit of the Georgian leader to Armenia.

"The circle of issues discussed is clear. We did not invent bikes. The guests ought to visit each other for formal and informal communication,” Saakashvili said in the end of his a day-visit.

The Georgian President was a host in his Armenian counterpart’s summer residence in mountainous lake Sevan.

In his turn, Saakashvili noted the two leaders discussed the expansion of economic contacts. The Georgian President regarded the cooperation in railway infrastructure, energy tourism, and construction business as more interesting and perspective spheres of cooperation.

"This year Georgia saw unprecedented number of Armenian tourists. Next year we expect to grow more and more. There are spheres where we could fruitfully cooperate, for instance agriculture, energy and construction,” Saakashvili said.
