(www.cihannews.com) вЂ" On the last day if his visit to United states Turkish Foreign Minister Abdullah Gul had a meeting with the newly appointed UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon. Gul requested secretary's help in the Cyprus discord and to meet leaders of both sides of the island. He also said that Turkey supported United Nations' efforts for a solution on the island and that Turkey was always open for negotiations on the issue.
Moon said that the Cyprus process will continue, that he would meet the leaders when the time for it comes and that he personally worked on the dossier of the case and all the details, reports Trend.
An agenda on the solution of the discord was not tackled at the meeting and Moon said he was sad that Greek Cypriots did not accept the Annan plan.
Diplomatic sources claimed that a solution on the island was closely related to the Greek Cypriots' attitude.
