Ahmadinejad meets Deputy Sudanese President

( ) - Sudan's Deputy President Ali Othman Muhammad Taha attended residence of visiting IRI President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and conferred with him.

According to IRNA's reporter in Khartoum, Ahmadinejad in the meeting considered the Islamic nations' solidarity and harmony, as well as the pressures posed against them and enemies' threats, as "Factors that pave the path for manifestation of divine justice, and Islam's ultimate victory."

He added, "Beyond doubt relying on Islamic unity, strong piety, and cooperation among independent nations, particularly cooperation between the Iranian and Sudanese nations, victory would be theirs and defeat would be their enemies' share."

The President pointed out that today Iran and Sudan are agreed over all important issues.

He added, "Under current world conditions, in which the arrogant world is devoid of any humane and constructive message for mankind and its philosophy of existence is under serious question, Islamic World officials and thinkers shoulder heavy responsibility of introducing path of salvation and well being to mankind, and to reform the sick ruling international relations system."

Ahmadinejad said that imposing various types of pressure against Sudan by the global oppression is due to Khartoum's decision to remain independent and to defend the Sudanese nation's rights, adding, "The Iranian nation and IRI Government love the Sudanese nation and there are broad potentials for cooperation in both countries." Sudanese Vice President Ali Othman Muhammad Taha, too, in the meeting described the bilateral cultural, political and religious ties as strong, adding, "Today we fortunately witness the rapid improvement of Tehran-Khartoum's already excellent ties."

He added, "We also notice positive developments regarding Iran's nuclear program, and we hope Tehran's peaceful nuclear drive would be recognized by the international community soon."
