A delegation of Russia's Gazprom company is scheduled to visit Tehran in coming days, Azizollah Ramazani, the director for international affairs of the National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC), said.
The delegation including directors and experts from the company will discuss future cooperation details with the NIGC officials, Ramazani said, ISNA news agency reported May 7.
Last year, a 30-member delegation headed by deputy chairman of the company visited Tehran and discussed engineering, implementation, operation, trade, and research issues with Iranian officials.
The two sides defined grounds for cooperation in the frame of six working groups including trade, development and research as well as production and joint projects, Ramazani said.
He further said that the cooperation within the frame of four working groups will be discussed during the upcoming visit of Gazprom officials to Tehran.
Last January, Chairman of Gazprom's board of directors Viktor Zubkov said the company was exploring the possibilities of closer cooperation with Iran after the international sanctions against the country were lifted.
