In the first five months of this Iranian year (started March 21, 2018), 4,322 tons of nectarines and peaches worth $4,391,471 were imported by Iran from different countries, according to the Iranian Customs Administration’s statistics.
Peaches and nectarines were imported mainly from Spain and Greece, Mizan News Agency reported.
According to the statistics, 2,388 tons of peaches and nectarines worth $2,552.80 million were imported from Spain, 1,934 tons of peaches and nectarines worth $1,839,391 were imported from Greece.
As a result of the recent devaluation in Iran, the foreign currency deficit has been observed in the country and the prices for products have sharply increased.
