The instruction for providing a supportive package to non-oil exporters in the current Iranian year (started March 21, 2021) has been finalized, said the head of Iran Trade Promotion Organization(TPO), Trend reports citing TPO website.
Alireza Peymanpak has indicated that advances in rial and foreign currency will be provided in form of a credit to non-oil exporters from the National Development Fund resources.
"We hope the National Development Fund would cooperate in providing necessary resources with agent banks pay rial and foreign currency advances to exporters to reduce costs and boost competitiveness," he explained.
He noted that the following instruction has been drafted by using the opinion of effective sectors in foreign trade and the effort is to assign advances to non-oil export in the shortest possible time and all information and evaluations should be done in the system in a purposeful and transparent manner.
The considered indicators for exporter's eligibility include average export over the past three years, applicant's trade or productivity, type of export commodities based on value added and priority of trade with neighboring countries and Eurasia, and according to this instruction, maximum support will be provided to exporters.
The advances will be paid via two systems Behinyab and Sepidar that would verify exporters capacity of export and in the next step, agent banks would pay advances.
Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) has recently announced that the value of Iran’s non-oil trade rose 47 percent during the first four months of the current Iranian calendar year (March 21-July 22), as compared to the same period of time in the past year.
