Floods hit 25 Iranian provinces, Morteza Salimi, head of Relief & Rescue Organisation of Iranian Red Crescent Society, said.
As a result, five people died, Salimi added, Trend reports referring to ISNA.
Floods and snowstorm hit East Azerbaijan, West Azerbaijan, Ardabil, Isfahan, Alborz, Ilam, Bushehr, Tehran, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari, South Khorasan, Khuzestan, Zanjan, Semnan, Sistan and Baluchestan, Fars, Qazvin, Kurdistan, Kerman, Kermanshah, Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad, Gulustan, Lorestan, Mazandaran, Hormozgan, Hamadan and Yazd provinces.
Four people died as a result of flood in Sistan and Baluchestan province, while one person died as a result of snowstorm in West Azerbaijan province, he said.
The assistance was rendered to 19,700 people in 220 cities, villages and mountainous areas.
