Following a meeting of the executive body and council of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), RPA spokesman Eduard Sharmazanov told journalists that council members and President Serzh Sargsyan appreciated the course and results of the election, 1in.am reported.
According to him, it was proposed that changes should be made to the structure of government and to grant ministerial functions to the head of the government's administration.
"We decided that the head of the government's administration will have ministerial functions and unanimously decided to nominate Vache Gabrielyan for this position who is educated and has experience," he said.
Sharmazanov noted that for the position of the Minister of Youth and Sport the Republican Party nominated Yuri Vardanyan.
According to him, David Sargsyan is nominated for the position of Finance Minister, and international expert Vahram Avanesyan for the position of the Minister of Economy.
Sharmazanov said that all the other ministers remain in office, adding that saved all three ministerial portfolios of the Rule of Law. He also noted that all other ministers will remain at their posts, adding that the Orinats Erkir Party will preserve all three ministerial portfolios.
