Georgia, Tbilisi / Тrend corr N. Kirtskhalia / On 17 January, Receipt of applications for the vacancies at the Trustee Council of the Georgian Public Television began today. According to the agreement between the opposition and the authorities, the Council will include outstanding public figures on a parity basis.
Receipt of the applications will be accepted for 10 days. The Parliament will then approve the new staff of the Council after a presidential presentation. Two candidates for each position must be put forward.
Once the new staff is approved, the Council will elect a new Director General of the Public Television.
