Georgian Dream coalition is not in danger of collapse, Defense Minister Irakli Alasania said yesterday after a meeting with Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili.

"I would like to respond to the dust made around the coalition and the government, and to say that everything is fine. We spoke openly about everything," the head of the Defense Ministry said.

As for the meeting with Bidzina Ivanishvili, according to Alasania, the regular working meeting was held, where he presented the results of his visit to the UK, and talked about the current situation.

Talk of a breakup of the coalition first appeared following a disagreement between Ivanishvili's Georgian Dream party and Irakli Alasania's Free Democrats. Parliamentary majority leader David Saganelidze accused Free Democrats of hindering local elections of regional leaders of Georgian Dream Party. He said there are many "misdirected" former representatives of the United National Movement amongst members of the aforementioned party.
