The Ferrero company makes a significant contribution to the activities of the Georgia Pecan Growers Association, Georgian Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture Levan Davitashvili said, Trend reports with reference to commersant.ge.
Davitashvili made the remarks at the meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Italy in Georgia Mr. Antonio Enrico Bartoli and Executive Director of the Ferrero Company Marco Gonsalves.
“The production of nuts in the country is growing, and this sector has great potential for development. For the development of the industry, important state programs are being implemented. I would like to thank the executive director of Ferrero for promoting the development of the nut sector in Georgia,” said Davitashvili.
Gonsalves noted that Ferrero company will continue to invest in this sector. At the meeting, the director of the company openly stated that he was ready to actively cooperate with farmers in this area.
At the meeting, Ambassador Antonio Enrico Bartoli told about the importance of long-term and stable cooperation between the two countries.
