Georgia’s ferroalloys exports in January 2022 totaled $31.4 million, which is an increase of 35.3 percent, compared to the same period of 2021 ($23.2 million), Trend reports via the National Statistics Office (Geostat).
The same figure also increased by 103.8 percent, compared to January 2020 ($15.4 million), the report said.
Meanwhile, Russia ranked first among main ferroalloys export destinations in January 2022. The exports amounted to $13.2 million, which is 6 times more, compared to $2.2 over the same period of 2021.
Ukraine is second on the list with $7.8 worth of ferroalloys imports from Georgia in the reporting period of 2022 - 375 times more than over the same month of 2021 ($20,960).
Turkey ranked third among main ferroalloys importers from Georgia in January 2022. The amount of ferroalloys exports to the country slightly increased by 9.5 percent, compared to the same period of 2021 ($4.2 million), and totaled $4.6 million.

Georgia’s total exports in January 2022 amounted to $331.3 million, which is an increase of 47.6 percent, compared to $224.5 million over the same month of 2021, and by 23.6 percent, compared to $267.9 million in January 2020.
