At least eight people were killed on Thursday when a
explosion ripped thorough a van carrying prisoners in Pakistan's restive North
West Frontier Provinces, media reports said.
The blast occurred when the vehicle was crossing a bridge on the outskirts of
the Bannu town, located some 200 kilometres from the provincial capital Peshawar, the private Urdu-language Geo news channel said, according to dpa.
