An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.0 rocked Sumatra island in western parts of Indonesia on Friday, but no report of damage or casualty, the meteorological agency said here, reported Xinhua.
The quake occurred at 12:25 Jakarta time (0525GMT) with the epicenter at 84 km northwest of Gunungsitoli of North Sumatra province and at 24 km in depth, an official of the agency said.
